A negative attitude is much more infectious than a positive one. In fact, it’s an incurable cancer! The bigger problem is that everyone believes that it’s everyone ELSE that’s being negative, and never them. After our last joint officers meeting, this became abundantly clear to me. The negativity spewed by several of you is soul sucking, and I thought only vampires could do that!
Honestly, I felt pretty good about how things turned out with our Grand Opening weekend. More people showed up than I had imagined during the day, JINXD packed lots of people upstairs later that night. And as I recall, I thought I was having a good time throughout the day. Apparantly, I was in the minority??? Listening to the venomous comments in the meeting, it’s the only conclusion I could draw. So, I’ve been asking some of the non-officer crowd about how horrible it all was. And I’m getting a lot of blank stares from these folks. “What are you talking about? We had a great time all day and night!”
So, it’s like this… there are those among us who if they happen to make it one day to heaven (which I have my doubts…) will likely complain that the streets paved in gold are causing a glare in their eyes. I’m kinda done with you, I can’t deal with that much negativity on a constant basis. You are a disease to the Eagles organization ( at least the one that I have in mind.) Our vision is not the same, and never will be, and anymore I really don’t care to try to change your minds. Either get on board, get out, or you can wait until you are rid of me come May 15th. Come that time, there will be far fewer of us who’ve tried to make a difference, left in the room for you to complain and throw rocks at.
I know, “how dare I say this here!” in front of everyone on the intertubes. But in my mind, and in the minds of the people that I still care about in the Aerie, we’re thinking “why the hell did I wait so long to blow a gasket?!?”
Get over yourselves, and get out of the way!

Brian Murray, the prez
